k so i started PE 3 weeks ago my BPEL is 4.5 my EG is 5.5.
The routine i been maintaining so far consist now of a 15 min warm up with a heating pad
stretches in all 5 directions holding for 30 seconds each while doing kegals
10 min jelqs 1 to 2 second strokes it is all i really can do for jelqing my penis just does not have the real estate
    9 min v jelqs
and edging for about 30 min, then another 10 min warm down, schedule for this routine is 3 days on 1 day off feels great thus far for me and already notice flaccid gains witch is a good sign, and i think it is pretty obvious length is a thing i crave most out my PE lifestyle. Anyway on to the question i have about my edging sessions why cant i use porn it is so much easier i really do not see how it could lead to ED and if it does could someone link me directly to these studies that have empirical evidence to back it up with not just some anecdotal pseudo bullshit. Also i do kind of get how they could desensitize you to a extent with a real woman in regards to your EQ. So in that sense what do you guys do to keep reaching that point of no return, do you use your imagination, is it alright to use pornagraphic pictures or videos of your girlfriend giving you head?. so my question i guess kind of is what are the parameters of witch tools i can use at my disposal to not get the adverse effects of chronic porn use for edging. Is videos of the girlfriend fine or pics of other woman?. Also feel free to interject any opinions or suggestions in regards to my routine thank you love you guys .

It is only some people that get ED from porn I use porn to do PE but I dont always.. they say porn is an addiction and with addiction you build a tolerance, so what might cause ED is if you try to have real sex or do PE without porn that is where you might get problems... somehow they say porn messes you up mentally for the real deal!!! so know your PIs and if problems arise suspect the porno

Increasingly, porn is being used as a "relationship substitute". You'll find advocates that line of thinking claiming that using porn prevents you from experiencing the negatives found in having a real sexual relationship. The more porn is used (especially for that purpose), the harder it is to function properly in real world scenarios. It's an excuse based on convenience, insecurities, and flawed risk assessments.

Giving in to fear or apathy causes one to give up on reality and resort to the supposed safety of fantasy- avoiding the processes of forming an intimate relationship and the potential risks and benefits that come with them.

Hell ya! Get on the no porn - best sex of you life - band wagon buddy!!

Taking pics of your girl is fun and totally sexy. Here's the deal: the reason why porn is bad is because it trains your brain to respond to "fake" unnatural shit. But you can use this same thing to your advantage. If you and your girl are daring and erotic enough you can train your brain and penis to love your girl too! Hell ya! Take some pics! Strike a pose! Than Jerk to it, jelq to it, enjoy it! You are making very power and positive connections in your brain linking your girl with penis pleasure. I bet your idea keeps you away from porn, makes your girl feel sexy and wanted, and makes you harder when it's time to play.

This is like claiming that amateur porn is ok, is it? (Not that I would watch it)

Perhaps you might consider it the lesser of two evils? Allow me to post something relevant here that I mentioned in another thread:

"Even in my own youth, porn was something one usually didn't have easy access to. Now, there's been a whole generation that's grown up with near-ubiquitous access and exposure to porn, and the effects are being seen and felt on huge levels. A proactive approach is indeed necessary."

Hell ya! Bro you are a smart one! Shit, I remember when I was young I had such a good imagination I could get aroused by a shampoo commercial on tv. Shoot I remember when I was 16 or so I was too shy to buy a dirty mag. So porn was not readily available at all. I had to use my imagination.

Then porn came into my life and I had a hell of a ride for decades until I realized was ruining my sex and relationship. So I quit. And I'll be damned, my imagination came right back! I can jerk and jelq without porn by just use images in my mind (usually the images are snapshots of the last time i had sex - I like fresh memories).

TMI, sorry. I am just trying to prove your point.

It's till a controversial subject and a lot of talk on both sides of the issue. Many of the naysayers argue using existing scientific studies related to other types of addiction but none have really been done that focus exclusively on porn addiction. You'll find them trying to discredit porn addiction by citing a study on sex addiction thinking that since they both have sexual themes they can be compared as apples to apples. Porn addiction is not a behavioral addiction like gambling or sex addiction, it runs along the same lines as a super stimulus addiction that screws with the brains reactions to dopamine and the limbic system going off track (think more like a chemical addiction). I won't go into details, but just want to point out that the naysayers generally haven't really looked at what the actual theory is presenting and makes false assumptions to discredit the theory. After all PE can't possibly work because the penis isn't a muscle and can't be exercised and grow, right?

I agree that not everyone falls victim to a full on addiction from watching porn, but it is detrimental in many other ways. It certainly can warp ones idea of the reality of sex. It teaches men how to incorrectly have sex with a woman. But I also ran across one interesting tidbit that gets overlooked in this topic, it teaches people to become passive about their arousal stimulus. I'm not sure yet if I subscribe to the argument but it certainly makes an interesting point to consider. Take a look at this video from Alex Allman The Truth About How To Masturbate | Your Brain On Porn (around the 4 minute mark). What he asserts is that people train their mind to have sexual stimulus presented to them by watching others having sex, rather than fantasizing about oneself being an active participant. When faced in real life guys find themselves waiting for the woman to present them with a stimulus instead of the guy creating the stimulus for themselves. You should watch the entire video though, might provide some addition points to consider for your original question in this thread.

So the original question is what to substitute for porn. From what I have read and understand about the subject is that you can certainly relive in your mind experiences with your partner, look at pictures of them. If you find yourself with a collection of pictures of your girl and are rapidly flipping from one to the next then check yourself, you may be looking for that super stimulus that porn addiction is characterized by. If you are looking at pictures of your girl to trigger thoughts of actively being together you are on the right path. (If not in a relationship then thoughts of the pretty girl you saw in class or some other substitution will work). The issue isn't having dirty thoughts, the issue is increasing appetite for stimulus input and also being a passive player in your fantasies. If you can create a full blown fantasy and rock hard erection from a single picture of your girl you have nothing to worry about, if you have your browser open with a dozen tabs going already and seem to flip to the next video every couple of minutes then you have a serious problem.

"Gains occur while balancing the fine line between undertraining and overtraining"
"Undertraining slows the gains, overtraining stops them"

Spicing up one's sex life, and making his partner feel more desired and sexy, with an added bonus of being together even when they're not (sort of), and helping imagination WITH SOMETHING REAL is completely different from porn, amateur or professional.

GREAT post! There seems to be a bit of a "hard drug" analogy with porn too. Some can take it or leave it, whereas others get hooked from the get go. Surely a combination of factors are at play.

IMO- With visualizations, the thing to stress above all is the emotional feel. With any form of stimulation, even the scenarios are not nearly as important as how you feel about yourself in them.

If one uses the fantasy world to escape, there's always going to be that part of themselves that knows the truth. Rather, one can use their visualization sessions to work on developing and projecting a sense of self confidence- to picture themselves being so unencumbered that they are fully able to appreciate every bit of that stimulus. When one can do that, it doesn't take much at all to get and maintain those erections

From there, one can take that feeling of confidence and transfer it over to real world situations.
