  • Just a couple questions

I just recently started up my workout again and i find that it's hard for me to stay erect during workouts. For example when i do jelqs, after about 5-10 jelqs i feel my penis starting to lose blood. I usually just start stroking it again for a couple seconds and it gets to the level i want it to. On a side note, I have just quit porn and this is really the first time where i'm becoming really anal about erection levels during workouts. It has been getting better though since the beginning of this workout, and my PIs have been getting better and better. I'm just asking to double check, does this sound like something unique where i may have to take some time off, or is my penis going to get used to it?

My next question is with recommended reps. Are the recommended reps just for the beginning, or is that the point of diminishing returns? I would like to know because i really want know what aspect of working out i should slowly microload. I really want to maximize gains, but at the same time not injure myself, and not do 90 minutes of jelqing, as i've seen some people do with a couple of posts.

Lastly, can someone please explain the terms "hard flaccid" and "turtling" to me? I read it in one penis safety post (https://www.pegym.com/forums/beginne...our-penis.html) and i'd like to get a full understanding of what it means? Are they just different terms for venous leaks?

If anyone thinks that this should be in the beginner thread, then lemme know and i'll move it.

That's not a side note, friend. Quitting porn means your arousal patterns will change. Over time, you will notice that things that used to get you hard won't work anymore, while things you never thought of as arousing might all of a sudden become a serious threat to the zipper of your favorite pants. In short: expect things to be different for a while, and don't fret.

Can only help you with "turtling". This is what happens when the blood abandons the penis to seek pleasure elsewhere, leaving your pride looking like a sad prune. The most universal cause of this is a swim in cold waters, but for people prone to it (like me) it can happen on any old cold day or after any sort of prolonged physical activity. This is bad as once you hit the showers, you'll become acutely aware that yours looks very small while some lucky sods still have fantastic hangs somehow.

Thanks for the reply. Do you have any info on the recommended reps though?

The book is not closed when it comes to recommended reps. Some say you should keep upping your jelqing sessions until you're doing it for at least 20 minutes straight, while I find that I really don't want to do it for more than 10-15 mins. Whenever I've tried longer jelqing sessions, my EQ has suffered. It might be a coincidence, but that's my experience.

We all want to "maximize our gains", but nobody knows how. I've only had modest gains so far, but I still have a list of things I'm going to try. It's a slow process, as I gotta give each exercise about 2 months before I can gauge their effectiveness. There are some things that might be effective, but that I'm just not going to do. My dick might not be the biggest around, but it can still give me and the ladies a lot of pleasure. So even though some have at their junk until it's all the colors of the rainbow and they have fantastic gains, I'm just not going there.

If I were you, I'd check the success stories forum and find something that has worked for others and that you feel like you want to do. PE takes a while, and in order to stay motivated you should tailor your sessions so that they're not overly long and boring to you. Sorry if this was not the answer you wanted, but this is my take on it.
