  • overtraining the kegel muscle

    I belive for some people this is possible. My kegel muscle is strong but I think it's overtrained as I ejaculated a couple of times and I tried to make it shoot out so far but it dribbled out both times. Ya think thats the kegel being overtrained?

    you may be on to something there, like all muscles they can be over worked.

      This is a good question. I want to do enough to make my EQ rock hard, but not so many that it is overtrained. What's a good number?
      Starting: bpel 6.5 - eg 4.5
      Current: bpel 6.75 - eg 5.2
      Goal: bpel 7 - eg 5.5

            I've noticed this but I have another theory about it, sometimes I can ejaculate and never get passed her belly button and other times she'll be wiping it of her neck. I will have to say it would be something to do with hydration. When I get busy during the day I can forget about drinking my water and such, when you realize you are thirsty you are already behind the game by about 2 hours, hard to believe huh. When you are thirsty your body has already pulled out all it's stores and then it will tell you. Don't go out and start drinking a bunch of water, if you do that you will flush your system of water soluble vitamins, find out how much you need and try to stay on a good steady intake. I usually drink about 4-16ounce bottles a day and the rest is soda or powerade.

            PS: Sprite and Cokes are not water, there is no replacement for straight water.

              Green tea is a good replacement for water.

              I thought there was a timing thing with the kegels that would make the sperm shoot far..?

                Hold the kegel while ejacualting and it should go further. I tried this once it made a big mess, hehehe. Porn stars will hold the end of their penis right before they shoot. I think this also makes it go further. This is something i have noticed recently.

                  You can definitely overwork your kegel muscle. When I first started I did about 100 short squeezes (I could only do short squeezes) and this worked to coax my kegel muscle out of its initial state of slight atrophy (I didn't know what Kegel was - how could I do them?). But then I started overdoing them - 200, and about 20% of them were long, 10 second squeezes. My EQ suffered.

                  KP's idea of 50 reps is a good starter. Honestly that's really all I do nowadays, but I should probably do more. It's probably OK to overwork slightly, since you want the muscle to get stronger afterwards, but too much can leave you with about two days of low EQ, which is unproductive in every way. Another good thing that I do is, while masturbating, try to squeeze the kegel muscle continually throughout the whole thing. It gets easier.

                  It also helps to do erect kegels if you happen to wake up with an erection. Pulling the sheets a little to add resistance helps as well.

                    Hi Cernunnus,

                    Yes my morning woody has been suffering, my ejac has been dribbling and my kegel muscle seems sore. So perhaps I have overtrained. Good call on the erect kegels using the blanket.

                      How are you now? I think after a few days of not using the kegel muscle you will be great, and even better than before. I don't think it's too bad to overtrain the kegel muscle every once in a while; it is a muscle after all.

                        It's feeling better but I am going to leave it for a while. It feels toned as it is.
