  • Addicted to masterbating! Not good for PE?

    I haven't started PE yet, I realized I need to get my masturbation under control, I did go a week and only masturbated 3 times in that week. I realize now the reason for that was because on a lot of days I didn't get much sleep and was tired for about 4 days of the week. Currently my masturbation is out of control, I usually go 2-3 times a day and really need to stop. Isn't masturbating bad for having gains doing PE? How many times should you masturbate a week? A rate that was healthy? I was thinking 1-3 times, is that rate healthy if Im doing PE, will I still have normal gains if I did that?

    What could be some good strategies or physical practices of making me not horny? I mean if I feel a constant bulge in my pants, not a full boner, it makes me wanna masturbate so badly.

    As for me, I've been a very busy masterbater all my life and honestly, I believe masterbation does not affect gains as long as you do the full routine without pausing to masterbate and also try not to do it right before you PE, specially when working on width.

    So, I'd advice you to get to work...

      Addiction is not based on number, so I would have to say, yes an addiction to masturbation is unhealthy. I too masturbate 2-3 times a day, everyday.

      Excuse my lack of info, im typing with one hand as i am doing stretches...

        It is ok to masturbate once per day. That is normal, and no it will not hinder gains.

            In my case if i limit my ejaculations i obviously get more horny which in turn leads to better erections which helps with girth work like dude above said. But it's a double edged sword cause you get erections very easily which can cause problems when doing flaccid stretching etc..

            Comes down to you finding your own set of 'conditions' so that you're training when its optimal.

              I used to masturbate regularly (daily) and felt that I did not have any control over this. After 1-2 days I would feel a very strong desire to masturbate and would eventually give in. I would masturbate when I felt stressed or anxiety. Due to personal circumstances, I have chosen not to be a slave to masturbation or porn. Over the past three years I have worked to reduce my compulsive behavior and understand the reasons I masturbate. I have not masturbated or viewed porn since May of this year. I still have a long way to go, but feel good about the recent changes in my life.

              I am not saying masturbation is wrong or right and appears to be quite normal for many guys. However, for me I have chosen to personally address this as it was an addictive grip in my life and negatively impacted my marriage relationship. I will not be mastered by my biology and physiology.

              Also, when I say masturbation, I am referring to stimulation of my penis for pleasure and/or ejaculation. I do struggle with the concept of masturbation as it relates to PE. My PE exercises are not done with stimulation for pleasure. I PE for EQ and just to have a huge member that I can feel proud of. However, I don't want PE to become compulsive or a foster a false belief system such as inadequacy with my current penis size or that I will be more desireable with a larger penis. Being OK as I am, regardless of penis size is where I want to be. My self-worth is not related to the size of my penis as this would be an unhealthy belief system.

              For guys wanting to cut down on porn or masturbation, I say that I can be done but takes time. Just like PE, it requires patience, kindness to self (don't shame yourself when you fall short of a goal), and time. Just like PE, changes to behavior is about making small incremental changes. Going cold turkey or trying to be stronger in will is a recipe for dissapointment.

                  Let's take it in perspective. Excessive anything is no good.Does it mean that you won't get gains if you're excessive with mastubation? No, it means that it more than likely will take you longer to get that inch than maybe someone who doesn't masturbate as frequently.Please remember there is no absolute in pe; it's trial and error. What is good for one may not be as good for another. Should you get your addiction under control? Yes by all means but don't think it will ruin all your pe plans. Did that help?

                      Having read the above posts, this was my line of thinking also.

                      Edging is like a form of constructive masturbation.

                      It is completely different to hurried & 'fast as you can get there' type masturbation.

                        Personally, I try to masturbate once a week, preferrably on the weekend. I've found that I'm gaining a good amount with this "masturbation schedule", but in the future I might test to see if I can gain more with less or more masturbation.

                        I also edge for about 30 minutes after every PE session, and I've got to the point where I rarely "fail" edging and end up ejaculating.
