  • Abstaining from Ejaculation

    Has anyone heard of nofap? Its when you try to abstrain from porn and ejaculation. I read that when you abstrain from ejaculation your test levels go up. On day 7 thats the max for test levels, but I heard if you edge you can go further. I have also read a lot on about not ejaculating, you are much more motivated and have more energy to get things done, you maintain all the nutrients and vitamins and they get reabsorbed into the body.

    I can't seem to make it past day 3. I blame edging, I just can't seem to push myself away. And I will not stop edging since I beleive it can help with gains. Anyone else struggling with this? Tips? I think Imma have to start putting myself ona time limit for edging.

    I just focus on edging. If I happen to ejaculate because of late or improper kegeling, I take notes and try to get better next time.

    Edging for stamina is like training for competition. You will fail, you will lose, you will suffer (ie. ejaculation), but persistence pays off when it's your time to shine.

    As long as you don't watch porn and ejaculate, it should be fine.

    Also, I believe ejaculation 2-3x per week is absolutely normal. This comes from an ex-porn addict for 13 years. Good luck!

      I do use porn still and I ejaculate to it lol. I don't believe porn hurts me, and I think it makes edging go faster.

      Can you explain to me improper kegeling? Right before I ejaculated I tried so hard to kegel. I never kegeled so hard in my life and I still failed.

      Trying to abstrain has become a new habbit for me. I hate coming into work day 1. I feel so weak and useless on day 1. Today was supposed to be day 2, but now it's day 0.

        I'm on day two of AP90, and I'm doing well so far. I deleted everything I've got on my laptop and deleted all accounts to it. I'm porn free and proud.

          I think imma give no porn a try again. While I dont think its a problem for me, I think it is getting in the way of my gains and hurts my edging sessions. Its the reason why I am on day 0 for abstraining.

            The term is "abstaining", not abstraining....also, don't use edging as an excuse to continue your PORN addiction. Ejaculating 3X / week is healthy for males, to maintain prostate health.                 To not ejaculate as often. I honestly don't think Porn is the problem as much as the rush of dopamine is. I want to get in control of it, maybe once a week or even twice a week, but I would like to see the effects of abstaining for a month or even more.

                Idk about you guys but pron really is not the problem for me, its just masterbation in general. And porn makes it worse yeah, but its so easy to stop wathcing, at least for me I guess. I stopped watching it for weeks, but the masterbation did not stop. was just as bad because it was an everyday thing. Now that I am trying to abstain and just edge it has helped but I fail a lot.

                        Some take up abstinence for various reasons- for spiritual purposes, health reasons, and the like. Understand that a prolonged period of abstinence may cause a detraining effect simply through disuse. If you're healthy this should be easuly reversible.

                        My advice: take a full break from anything "penis" related for 7 days. This includes thinking about performance. When you return, begin with a stamina routine and focus your ejaculations on this (or live sexual activity) only. This will allow you to recondition yourself and develop mastery over your urges.

                          I started doing NoFap a couple months ago.. the farthest I got was about 15 days and then I just caved in and watched porn. I got the "flatline" along with headaches about 10 days into it, and I've always wondered if you get the special "David Blaine" powers after 3 months lol, but like many others I am starting to think the powers are bullshit. Now when I NoFap, by the 8th day or so I end up having a wet dream unfortunately. However, I do feel an increase in energy at the gym and overall throughout the day, I'm not sure if it's psychological? I will say this for sure though.. Before I did NoFap, I could never ejaculate from a lap dance, let alone get an erection cause I was watching porn almost every night. Since NoFap, I orgasm every time from a dance in a matter of minutes, which worries me for the next time I get in bed with a girl lol. There's this guy at my gym who claimed he was on 4 months of NoFap, and at that point you're supposed to develop an intimidating aura, however he doesn't scare me one bit lmao. I wonder if it affects the ladies..

                            There should be some distinction between no fap (or no MO), and no PMO (porn, masturbation, orgasm).
                            You can do no Porn but still fap (or MO) without the porn.

                            I have been "liberated", tongue firmly in check, from porn for over 5 months. I have seen some benefits. I wouldn't describe them as super powers mind you. But there definitely seem to be some psychological and physical benefits such as clarity of mind, peacefulness, less horniness all the time. Also less objectification of women but at the same time, I seem to be more chivalrous or flirty with women if you will. From a physical stand point, more energy and better EQ for sure. But the EQ gains also come from PE exercises.

                              I can tell a diference within a couple days of nofap. I just feel more aggressive with what needs to be done throughout the day, whereas if I beat it I feel tired and unmotivated to do anything and end up procastinating. You also get this feeling like your on edge.
